Our team

Two founders. Nobody to hand you off to.

The people below answer the phone, source the capacity, work the load, and call you when something changes. The same two, start to finish.

Brooke Young, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Avora Logistics
Co-Founder · Chief Executive Officer

Brooke Young

Brooke provides executive leadership and financial oversight while directing Avora's government-contracting and strategic growth initiatives. She came to Avora from federal procurement — the discipline that decides whether a small business ever gets past a prime's supplier gate.

  • Procurement Director at Atmos Industries — an Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise serving tribal government agencies under federal and tribal procurement, 2019 to 2024
  • Worked inside the mechanics small businesses usually learn the hard way — solicitations, set-aside eligibility, socioeconomic representations, and the documentation a contracting officer actually needs
  • Majority owner — woman-owned and Indian-owned economic enterprise
  • Enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe

DA Co-Founder · COO
Co-Founder · Chief Operating Officer

Daniel Allen

Dan leads Avora's sales, customer development, and transportation operations. Ten-plus years in commercial transportation and more than a million commercial miles behind the wheel — and, separately, a federal contractor he built and ran for five years.

  • Founded and scaled Atmos Industries (2019–2024) from zero to approaching $1M in revenue inside 24 months — an Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise serving tribal government agencies. Wound down in 2024 when its principal contract concluded.
  • 1,000,000+ commercial miles as a FedEx linehaul contractor — sleeper-cab operations running doubles and triples
  • Ranked #1 of 60+ drivers on safety and performance. Zero preventable accidents, zero citations, zero failed inspections.
  • Built an entry-level driver training program that grew the fleet from under 10 drivers to more than 60 — and across nearly nine years, no accident caused by a driver he trained and no complaints from one
  • Fleet operations, CDL driver development, and FMCSA/DOT compliance
  • Enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe

Why founder-led matters

There is no account-manager layer here, and that is the product — not a limitation of our size.

On a hard load, the decisions that matter are judgment calls: whether a carrier's story adds up, whether a receiver will actually take a 53-foot trailer, whether to reroute now or wait an hour for better information. Those calls get made well by someone with authority and context, and badly by someone reading a script.

Carrier qualification is not a theoretical exercise here. Dan spent nine years training and evaluating drivers and holds a clean record across a million miles of doubles and triples. When a carrier's answers don't fit the job, that is a pattern he has seen from the driver's seat rather than a box on a checklist.

The founder who books your freight owns it through delivery and closeout. You get their direct line, not a general queue.

How we cover the phone

This is a home office and a family business, not a call center. There is no rotation: whichever of us is free first answers, and for time-critical freight that means a callback within sixty minutes, any hour. The direct lines above go to our phones, not a switchboard.
